The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VII has provided 72 food packs to the 30 families affected by tornado that struck Baclayon, Bohol on July 31, 2016 at 5:30 in the afternoon.

Each food pack contains 6 kilos rice, 4 canned fish, 4 canned meat and 6 sachets of instant coffee.

Based on the report from DSWD – VII Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) office in Tagbilarana City, the incident occurred in four barangays, namely: Poblacion, Landican, San Vicente and San Roque.  The tornado left 10 totally and 20 partially damaged houses.

The SWAD Bohol in coordination with the local social welfare office of Baclayon together with Mayor Alvin Uy conducted ocular visits to other barangays to gather more information relative to the incident.

Meanwhile, the 30 affected families stay with their relatives and neighbors. ###
