The Department of Social Welfare and Development has distributed donations from the Taiwanese government to the provinces of Cebu, Bohol, and Negros Oriental as well the to the highly urbanized cities of Cebu City, Mandaue City, and Lapu-Lapu City.

DSWD-7 personnel facilitates the releasing of donated goods to Cebu City.

As of December 30, around 1,666 boxes of food and non-food items from Taiwan were given to typhoon-stricken local government units in Central Visayas.

In provinces, Bohol received the following quantities in boxes: 117 drinking water, 69 noodles, 33 biscuits, 3 water filters, 220 food rations, 12 tents, and 35 cookies.

Province of Negros Oriental received the following quantities in boxes: 116 drinking water, 68 noodles, 33 biscuits, 3 water filters, 180 food rations, 10 tents, and 24 cookies.

And, Province of Cebu received the following quantities in boxes: 117 drinking water, 69 noodles, 34 biscuits, 18 canned tuna, 3 water filters, 200 food rations, 10 tents, and 25 cookies.

Meanwhile, highly urbanized cities such as Cebu City received the following quantities in boxes: 4 tents, 3 water filters, 70 food rations, and 15 cookies.

Mandaue City received the following quantities in boxes: 3 tents, 2 water filters, 60 food rations, and 15 cookies.

And, Lapu-Lapu City received the following quantities in boxes: 7 tents, 3 water filters, 70 food rations, and 15 cookies.

These donations arrived from Taiwan on Christmas day (December 25) and the day after (December 26) in General Benito Ebuen Air Base in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu through a Taiwanese C-130 Aircraft. ###
