The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) recognized Best Parent Leaders (PL) under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) during the culminating activity of the second anniversary of the institutionalization of the 4Ps recently.

The search aimed to identify and recognize outstanding 4Ps PL and their exemplary performance and achievement in supporting the program implementation and promoting volunteerism as a way of life.

Crespina Lapad joins the virtual awarding ceremony at the municipal hall of Batuan, Bohol. She is one of the national awardees of 4Ps Best Parent Leaders.

The outstanding Parent Leaders have served the program since 2019 to date, and have continuously demonstrated extraordinary traits, leadership qualities, service and assistance to the program.

Among the 67 4Ps Best Parent Leaders nationwide, five of them are from Central Visayas region, namely, Crespina C. Lapad from Batuan, Bohol, Jesselito Q. Tumimbang Sr. from Basay, Negros Oriental, Miralyn A. Basallo from Daanbantayan, Cebu, Louzel G. Grengia from Moalboal, Cebu, and Remily M. Daniel from Siquijor, Siquijor.

Aside from the Parent Leaders, Innovative Project under 4Ps were also recognized. The innovative projects were recognized based on the prescribed criteria like innovation, participation, sustainability, efficiency, and reproducibility.

The Bagayanon Bigasan and General Merchandise from Daanbantayan, Cebu was the DSWD Office VII’s entry to the 4Ps Most Innovative Project.

Furthermore, notable DSWD employees and development partners were also recognized for their significant contributions towards the successful implementation of the program.

DSWD-7 Regional Director Rebecca Geamala delivered the congratulatory message to the awardees and lauded their hard work, tenacity, and great contribution to the program.

The awardees joined the virtual awarding ceremony which was livestreamed through the official Facebook fan page of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

The week-long anniversary celebration that started on June 7, 2021 had the theme “SaMa Sama tungo Sa Matatag at Sa Matagumpay ng Pamilyang Pilipino,” which focused on how the 4Ps has made significant impacts to improve the lives and empower its beneficiaries. ###
