Gi-meetingan gyud ni sa tanan kung asa nga priority sub-project ang kabutangan sa kwarta nga gihatag sa Barangay Jugan og gi-desisyonan nga mao ang 200 meters nga road concreting (We had series of meetings on what particular priority sub-project will be used for the budget given to Barangay Jugan and we decided that it will be the 200 meters barangay road concreting),” added Licerio.

Medellin, Cebu

For Engr. Jesus Gillamac, the BSPMC Chairperson of Brgy. Antipolo, Medellin, Cebu, teamwork is needed right from the start until the sub-project implementation.

Importante ang teamwork kay dili man ni pwede nga usa o duha ka tawo ra. Kada volunteer adunay lain-lain nga assignment nga pagabuhaton (Teamwork is important because this won’t work out if only one or two persons will do the job. Every volunteer have their own specific assignment on what to do),” added Jesus.

Community volunteers were assigned on various committees and teams like bids and awards, procurement, finance, monitoring and inspection, infrastructure, operation and maintenance among others.

He cited that even though he is the BSPMC Chairperson, he doesn’t have the monopoly of all of the ideas and decisions.

Jesus even acknowledge the crucial role of the barangay chairman and other officials as they oversee the sub-project implementation.

People from Brgy. Antipolo also chose road concreting as their sub-project as it will also benefit other two neighboring barangays.

Inig ting-ulan, ang barangay dako ang magastos sa pag-repair ana nga kalsada kay magsige ug baha nya limestone raman kana (During rainy season, the barangay would spend much for the repair of that road because of the flood and it just made of limestone),” Jesus added.
