Loud and Clear. This is how 12-year-old Kristine Claire Auman from Poblacion, Daanbantayan stated how she foresees her future because of the inspirations that she got as a ‘Batang Pantawid’.

As an active child in her school and community, Claire loves to join curricular and extracurricular activities. She received several recognitions such a being a Girl Scout of the Year, the leader in their church organization, and an honor student and she also participated in inter-school competitions.

Claire is determined to finish her studies through the help of her supportive family, the assistance from the government through Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, and most of all, through the guidance of the Lord.

Claire’s family became a beneficiary of Pantawid in 2011. At that time, her father, the only breadwinner, struggled to find a job to feed them.

She draws her inspiration from her parents who toiled to raise them, to send them to school, and to bring food on the table thrice a day.

Claire believed that finishing her studies and being kind to people would help move her family’s life out of poverty and that she will achieve her dreams.

Claire shared in her written testimony that the Pantawid Program has helped their family achieve a stable life.

Bilang benepisyaryo ng Pantawid Pamilya, mailalarawan ko ang aking pagpapahalaga sa edukasyon bilang isang lampara na nailawan ulit (As a Pantawid beneficiary, I describe how I valued education like a lamp that illumininates once again),” Claire said that the Pantawid program brings hope.

Laking tulong talaga ng programa lalo na sa pag-aaral namin, dahil sila ang nagbigay rason at pag -asa sa mga mahihirap na hindi kayang tustusan ang pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan (The program greatly helps us especially in our studies because it gives hope to people who struggle to live each day),” added Claire.

Claire said because of the program they were able to buy their school supplies, uniforms, and nutritious packed foods. It also inspires them to do better in their studies.

Hindi ko sasayangin ang pagkakataon na ibinigay ng Panginoong Diyos (I will not waste this blessing from the Lord),” she exclaimed.

Claire was supposed to walk on the platform wearing a white toga to receive her awards in March 2020 but it did not push through due to the pandemic.

With her clear vision of tomorrow, Claire is optimistic that the pandemic that the world has experienced right now will never hinder her dreams because it shall come to an end. ###
