Roselyn’s educational journey is a testament to her determination.

She began her academic pursuits at Tacup Elementary School and continued her secondary education at Lambusan National High School, where she graduated with honors as the 4th Honorable Mention. Her unwavering passion for learning led her to the University of the Visayas, where she took her first steps toward becoming a teacher by enrolling in the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) program.

Perseverance and adaptability marked her professional journey. In 2005, she took on her first role as a witness, quickly gaining valuable life and work experience. Later that year, she transitioned to a saleslady position at Best Buy, which she held until 2006. From 2014-2016, Roselyn worked as a production assembler at Mitsumi Danao, demonstrating her dedication and strong work ethic.

Roselyn’s passion for service and community development became evident when she served as President of the Barangay Health Workers for seven years (2016–2023).

Simultaneously, she volunteered with KALAHI CIDSS, a role that deepened her connection to her community and fueled her sense of empowerment.

Despite juggling her responsibilities as a mother, wife, and barangay worker, Roselyn excelled in her volunteer roles, including serving as a BAC Member during KALAHI CIDSS’s 2nd Cycle and as the BDC-TWG Chairperson in Phase 1 of NCDDP-AF.

Roselyn credits her experiences with KALAHI CIDSS for transforming her perspective, enabling her to understand complex processes and embrace her responsibilities with confidence.

According to her, one word encapsulates her journey as a community volunteer: “empowerment.” The program inspired her to realize her capability of achieving more than she ever imagined.

Roselyn now works as a Land Tax Encoder at the Treasury Office on a job order basis, continuing to serve her community with passion.

Her inspiring journey—from a determined student and hardworking employee to an empowered volunteer and community leader—demonstrates the incredible power of perseverance, dedication, and a commitment to making a difference.

Roselyn’s story is not just a narrative of success but a shining testament to what it means to rise above challenges and transform dreams into reality, all while empowering others along the way. ###
