The Sustainable Livelihood Program National Program Management Office (SLP-NPMO) recently conducted a four-day workshop for partnership and special concerns officers from different field offices. This event focused on reviewing and assessing partnership projects and strategic planning.
The workshop provided program implementers a valuable opportunity to evaluate the strengths and challenges encountered during the program’s implementation. This evaluation is essential for improving the delivery of holistic services to participants.
In her welcome message, Regional Director Shalaine Marie S. Lucero emphasized the importance of this assessment. She noted that it is an opportune time for implementers to identify gaps, strengths, and weaknesses. “This is our chance to reflect and make adjustments to ensure we are responsive to the realities of our time and the needs of our beneficiaries and partners,” she stated.
Director Lucero also highlighted that positively impacting participants and communities is the ultimate goal of the program. She stressed the necessity of providing efficient services and interventions that can transform lives through the Sustainable Livelihood Program.
Director Miramel Garcia Laxa also underscored the significance of this assessment for partnership officers, describing it as a platform for sharing initiatives and ideas that strengthen collaborations with national government agencies (NGAs), non-government organizations (NGOs), and local government units (LGUs). “This will help guide our program participants on their five-year journey to meet our committed targets. I encourage you to share what you have learned from other regions,” she added.
The strategic planning component allowed attendees to prepare for the upcoming implementation of the program’s third and fourth phases. Since the SLP is currently in the second phase of a five-phase implementation plan, this stage is crucial for the funded associations. ###
