These sessions covered the Microenterprise Development Training (MEDT III), which included various topics, such as Basic Human Resources Management, Gender Mainstreaming in Business, Procurement, Mentoring on Digital Wallets, Effective Negotiation Skills, and Profit-Sharing Plans.

In a message, Municipal Mayor Roman B. Bullen expressed his gratitude to the SLP and its staff for transforming the constituents’ lives from stay-at-home mothers to entrepreneurs. He also thanked the professors from Holy Name University for enriching the program participants’ knowledge during the technical sessions.

Mayor Bullen also assured the program participants that the Local Government Unit will continue to support them in developing and strengthening livelihood initiatives within the municipality.

The local government unit of Dauis sponsored these sessions to support its constituents, recognizing the importance of enhancing the skills and knowledge of participants in business management. As the SLPAs enter the third phase of the program, known as the Sibol Phase, Mayor Bullen emphasized the need for these associations to be developed and sustainable.

The professors from Holy Name University, including Lutgarda Canedo, Catherine Delgado, Peter Elezar Duquilla, Silvino Añosa, R. Magallanes, Cindy Arano, Almarie Ross Ungab, Leenard Felicitas, Dr. Precillano Echavia, Dr. Leomar Virador, and Cecile Evemary Batingal, presented the topics engagingly and effectively, using real-life examples to illustrate key concepts. Their expertise and presentation style helped participants connect with the material and understand its practical applications.

The participants appreciated the efforts of the LGU Dauis and SLP in providing these sessions, which they found invaluable for their businesses. As they enter the 2nd phase of the SLP’s five-year sustainability plan, these technical enhancement sessions will play a crucial role in improving their knowledge and skills, ultimately contributing to the sustainability of their associations.

Regional Program Coordinator Ma. Rosana D. Coritico of the Sustainable Livelihood Program and provincial technical staff led by Provincial Coordinator Jimmy Crusio also extended gratitude to the LGU Dauis for its continuous support of the program and for being an active partner in providing technical assistance to participants. “We are grateful for this initiative; the convergence effort is vital, and the program will not succeed without your help,” she stated. ###
