The DSWD’s Visayas Disaster Resource Center located in Mandaue City, Cebu has provided assistance to the residents who are suffering from food shortage in the municipalities of Carles and Concepcion, Iloilo due to prolonged bad weather and southwest monsoon.

The 3,000 family food packs arrived in San Pedro Pier, Iloilo City on August 17, 2019 on board BRP Saluan (MRRV 4406).

A total of 3,000 family food packs (FFP) were brought to San Pedro Pier in Iloilo City by BRP Saluan (MRRV 4406) as initial augmentation support. Mr. Ernie Cuyos, AO V and Mr. Norman Daniot, Warehouseman II delivered the goods to Region 6.

Another 2,000 FFPs will be delivered within this week to complete the 5,000 requested by the DSWD region 6. ###
