The Listahanan 2nd round of household assessment is now on-going in identified urban barangays in the region using android tablets.
These android tablets have Family Assessment Form (FAF) data entry application installed in it.
An autocorrect feature installed in the FAF data entry application notifies the enumerator if there are incomplete or inconsistent entries. Only completed data are sent to the server through the internet.
The server receives the data from the enumerator and stores them in the central database system of the DSWD for further validation.
Meanwhile, enumerators in identified rural barangays use the paper form of the FAF. The FAF paper form is a four-page questionnaire with 52 observable and verifiable variables used in the conduct of household assessment.
“Our trained enumerators are currently deployed in the field to gather pertinent information about the level of social well-being of a family,” said Regional Director Mercedita Jabagat.
The household will be assessed based on their composition, the household members’ highest educational attainment and occupation, features of the housing structure and access to basic services or facilities like water, electricity, and sanitary toilet, households’ ownership of assets, tenure status of housing among others.
“Most of the rural barangays in the region have been assessed and we are waiting for the results of the assessment in urban barangays for us to accomplish the target,” Jabagat added.
As of date, a total of 687,213 out of the 1,016,269 target households in region 7 were already assessed.
DSWD also reiterates its call for the community to be vigilant during the conduct of the assessment.
““There might be bogus or fake enumerators who will knock on your doors and ask money before your household will be assessed. This is tantamount to extortion and we will not tolerate this kind of action. We make sure that all of our hired enumerators are officially and properly identified in their assigned areas that is why we issued them red vest with DSWD logo infront and Listahanan logo at the back and DSWD identification card (ID),” Jabagat emphasized.
The assigned enumerator also posts a sticker on the front door of the house as proof that the household has already been assessed.
