The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VII started on June 3, 2020 the payout for the waitlisted beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program in three LGUs and another one on June 4, 2020 in the province of Cebu.

Regional Director Rebecca Geamala of DSWD 7 leads the payout of waitlisted beneficiaries in the municipalities of Consolacion and Compostela in Cebu province.

Director Rebecca P. Geamala led the payout in some municipalities. She said that about 1,227 family beneficiaries in Cebu province, specifically in Consolacion, Compostela Oslob and Liloan received their Php 6,000 cash aid.

Around 149,579 waitlisted family-beneficiaries in the region are expected to receive their cash aid.

The waitlisted beneficiaries are those eligible low-income families who were not included and provided with emergency subsidy aid by DSWD and other government agency for the first tranche.

Some 585,376 estimated low-income households in Cebu province and highly urbanized cities are initially qualified for the second tranche which is equivalent to about 3.5 billion.

Meanwhile, the DSWD has already credited on June 11, 2020 the emergency cash subsidy through SAP for the 147,406 Pantawid household beneficiaries with cash cards in Cebu. Currently, ongoing payout of the second tranche to 2,136 Pantawid non-cash holders for the SAP in Cebu is conducted by the field office. ###
