The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VII (DSWD-7) received recognitions during the recent conduct of the 2021 Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) award.

The Field Office bagged the SPRINT AWARD: Early Wins Initiative under the Innovation category. The DSWD-7 was the lone national finalist in the SPRINT AWARD.

The award recognized the outstanding achievement and performance of DSWD-7 in completing and contributing to the strategic focus of the Department. It guaranteed the institutionalization of DSWD Strategy 2020-2022 in accordance with the Performance Governance System (PGS) Pathways principle and ensured identification of Early Gains of the DSWD Strategy Commitments.

The Field Office also received several special citation awards, which include the following: Social Marketing Section (SMU) for the Pusong may Patas na Pagtrato sa Komunidad sa Larangan ng Pag-aanunsyo at Pamamahayag, Regional Resource Operations Section (RROS) for the Pusong Maagap at Mapagkalinga, Regional Information Officer Leah T. Quintana for the Pusong may Malasakit sa Larangan ng Pampublikong Impormasyon,  Social Welfare Officer I Brenda Abilo for the Pusong Magiting, Assistant Regional Director for Operations Shalaine Marie S. Lucero for Pusong Angking Galing, and Regional Director Rebecca P. Geamala for the Gawad Kalihim.

Director Geamala also received the Service Award, which recognized her 37 years of service in the Department.

The DSWD field offices personnel virtually attended the awarding ceremony held at the DSWD Central Office.

The PRAISE recognition significantly gives importance to the services of the DSWD employees, despite the health hazards posed by the pandemic.

PRAISE is the Department’s program on rewards and incentives for service excellence and a way of thanking exemplary staff for their dedication, perseverance, and hard work.

The activity is in line with Department’s 71st Founding Anniversary celebration. ###
