Some 80 beneficiaries received Php 20,000.00 livelihood assistance each from the DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP). The 80 beneficiaries were from the 358 families who survived the fire that hit barangays Centro and Tabok, Mandaue City last February 17, 2020.

The DSWD-7 staff distribute the Php 20,000.00 cash assistance to the fire survivors in Barangay Tabok and Centro, Mandaue City.

All 80 beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the government for the livelihood assistance for them to start again their small businesses that were gutted by fire. Ms. Theresa Sabagala, project development officer of SLP reminded the beneficiaries of their accountability.

Mrs. Rizalina Patindol, regional program coordinator of SLP told the beneficiaries to spend the money for the purposes of rebuilding their livelihood.

Barangay Captain Dario S. Tarriman of Barangay Tabok, Mandaue City expressed his gratitude to DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program for giving the community a chance to stand again after the crisis. ###
