The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 7 will start its Listahanan 3rd round of household assessment this October 2019.

More than 1 million households across region 7 will be assessed by the team of DSWD field staff from Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental and Siquijor provinces. This includes the more than 200,000 Pantawid beneficiaries that needs to be reassessed.

OIC-PPD Chief Ferdinand D. Armecin, Planning Officer III Anthony Arsenal and the NHTS 7 team together with the field staff of Bohol province during the L3 training in Baclayon, Bohol.

Listahanan 7 hired 1,484 Enumerators, 277 Area Supervisors and 50 Area Coordinators across region 7. These field staff went through a week-long intensive training to capacitate them with the knowledge and skills needed to do the house-to-house assessment well.

Earlier, a series of orientations with the Local Government Units (LGUs) and DSWD’s City and Municipal Action Team (CMAT) leaders were held in the provinces to inform them of the L3 activities and to encourage them to support the L3 assessment.

Listahanan 7 head, Mr. Hillton John V. Edrial urged the field staff to prepare themselves for doing the household assessment entails a lot of challenges.  Moreover, they must ensure that correct information are gathered because it has a significant impact in coming up with quality Listahanan data.

Listahanan or National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) is an information management system that identifies who and where the poor are. The data generated will be shared to government or private institutions as basis for social protection programs beneficiaries. The data needs to be updated every four years as mandated in the Executive Order 867. ###
