The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 7—Central Visayas has begun providing Family Food Packs (FFPs) for immediate food assistance to families affected by Typhoon Tino in various parts of Region 7.

The DSWD-7 Quick Response Team in Dalaguete, Cebu, distributes Family Food Packs (FFPs) in coordination with the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, and the LGU of Dalaguete.

In the municipality of Dalaguete, 150 families are currently staying at Dalaguete National High School, where they receive food and family packs (FFPs) from the agency. Among these families, 97 are from Barangay Tapun, and 53 are from Barangay Poblacion.

Moreover, DSWD-7 also extended food assistance to families staying in evacuation centers in Lila, Bohol, distributing a total of 959 Family Food Packs (FFPs).

Meanwhile, the DSWD-7 Bohol Regional Warehouse has dispatched wing vans and trucks loaded with FFPs en route to the municipalities of Inabanga, Alicia, Duero, and Mabini for distribution to affected families.

Regional Director Shalaine Marie Lucero assured the public that the agency remains vigilant and continues to coordinate closely with Local Government Units (LGUs) across Cebu and Bohol to ensure the timely delivery of relief assistance.

“DSWD Field Office VII, through its Quick Response Team personnel stationed across Region 7, continues to monitor the situation in the affected LGUs. We are in constant coordination with local government units to ensure the availability and distribution of food packs in their municipalities. We remain on high alert, especially since many families need our help,” Lucero said.

As of November 3, 2025, DSWD Field Office 7 has 71,535 prepositioned FFPs stored in the Bohol and Cebu regional warehouses, along with 9,997 prepositioned non-food items ready for augmentation. ###
